If you’ve been following along since the Searidge Before & After post, you already know how much this remodel project meant to us.

But here’s the thing about before-and-after posts: they show you what changed. They don’t always tell you how or why. That’s what this source guide is for.

This is Part 1 of the Searidge source guide, covering the entry, breakfast nook, kitchen, and great room. I’m sharing the exact materials, finishes, vendors, and furnishings we used, along with the thinking behind each decision. Part 2 will cover the primary suite, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, and some of the smaller details that quietly made a big difference.

A quick note before we get into it: this Laguna Niguel home is located in Orange County with sweeping views all the way to Catalina Island. From the very beginning, the goal was to design around the light, the scale, and that connection to the outdoors. Every material decision was made with that in mind.

Before-and-after photos show what changed. A source guide shows why it worked.

What’s inside:

  • The exact stone used in the kitchen

  • The checkerboard flooring source

  • The lighting, rugs, fabrics, and window coverings

  • The custom details that made the home feel warmer

  • Design notes you can apply to your own remodel

Let’s get into it.
